H&M Earrings: Fab Budget Fashionista Find

Dear Readers,

Last weekend I was passing by Tahliya, and noticed that H&M was had an up to 70% sale, I hadn't been to H&M for a few months so I decided to browse and I came across these lovely shaded long earrings, the colour graduate from tangerine orange to a bubblegum pink.
 
I don't usually go for very bright accessories but I don't know I just had to buy these earrings and they go well with an outift which I will share later. :-)

Originally they were only SR36 and now they are only SR10! Cheap n chic..what I love about H&M.
They are also available in a turqoise and pale blue combo.

 Personally, I'm loving the pink and orange combo,and just as a bonus as I have great girl crush on Olivia Palermo I've added a pic of her rocking the colour blocking trend in DKNY , with hot pink and orange.

8 Trendy Peplums at Topshop: Hollywood Style Inspiration

Peplums are all the rage rigth now  with hot actresses like Blake Lively to prim and proper Kate Middleton all embracing the craze. Topshop is right on trend with a number of dresses to choose from. What I love about peplum dresses is that they really accentuate your curves by highlighting your waist and creating the perfect hour-glass figure sillouhette.

The whole look is a bit retro inspired, and really appeals to me, I can imagine wearing with a bold lip and a few statement accessories. It is a slightly less intimidating version of the body-con dress and thus more wearable

The gorgeous pink colour will make you glow and its a more comfortable and forgiving option compared to the body con dress.

For me this is take on the peplum dress is very contemporary, I especially like the tan-belt detail, though I'm not too fond of the colour.

Hot Gucci Ad for New Perfume Premiere with Blake Lively

Ooh la la, is that Blake Lively or Marilyn Monroe?

Have you been missing your weekly dose of Blake Lively glamour, ever since Gossip Girl ended , I certainly have. Not to worry, the Gossip Girl star has been making waves as she has been cast as the new face of the Gucci's latest perfume Premiere. Blake Lively exudes old Hollywood glamour, the golden waves, and dark eyes transform her perfectly. In fact, I'm wondering if she hasn't got more of a Marilyn Monroe likeness as compared to Michelle Williams who played her in the movie 'My Week With Marilyn'.

There has been some controvery circling the web that the Gucci ad for Premiere 'starring' Blake Livey is very similar to the Mademoiselle bags advert she did for Chanel. I think the ads have just two things in common Blake Lively, and her reflection in the mirror. I don't think that's enough to declare Gucci copied Chanel, and I personally prefer the Gucci ad over the Chanel one. Gucci's ad is very much classic, old Hollywood glamour, and a black and white shot. The Chanel ad on the other hand has more contemporary vibe to its more 'Serena' edgy, modern, a bit dark.

Dear Readers,

Sunshine soaked summer days deserve to be spent in clothes which are comfy and casual. What could be better than a bright floral sundress, or a crisp white cotton sundress. Whether your budget demands that you buy cheap sundresses or if you'd rather splurge on brand name sundresses, this post should have something for everyone.

Gossip Girl Fashion Inspiration:Elie Saab Midnight Blue Dress

Dear Readers,

I've warned you previously to expect alot of Gossip Girl fashion related posts as I get it out of my system so to speak. In Episode 21 Leighton Meester's charachter Blair Walrdorf wears my one of my favourite designers Elie Saab! She wears a sleeveless shimmering midnight blue gown with beaded embroidery with a plunging neckline, in an attempt to regain her highbrow status.

Blair accessorises with a statement necklace and a Kara Ross, and red lipstick always suits her, lucky thing!

Billboard Music Awards 2012 Fashion Round-up You Simply Must See

Dear Readers,

I am no longer interested in who wins at the numerous music award shows that take place. My main interest is what did they wear? If you are like me and you don't want to spend hours watching award shows but you like to feast your eyes on  the latest trends in gowns and hairstyles well, sit back and relax and enjoy your fashion fix.

I recognised very few people from the pictures a sure sign that I'm getting old, sigh and I like very few of the outfits.

But I think Katy Perry is getting better at dressing up for the red carpet she looks elegant in this lavender Blumarine gown and had her trademark hair dyed a purplish hue.

Taylor Swift showed up with straight hair smoky eyes and a red Elie Saab gown, as you know I think she rarely misses the mark, in my opinion anyway. I'm also a big fan of Elie Saab's designs.
